Our Mission
AGT Labs is dedicated to protecting worker health through accredited, defensible industrial hygiene testing. Our mission is to provide EHS managers, industrial hygienists, and safety directors with the accurate, timely analytical data they need to ensure workplace compliance and safeguard employees from occupational hazards.
Who We Are
AGT Labs operates a comprehensively accredited industrial hygiene testing laboratory in Houston's East End industrial corridor, at 10200 East Freeway, Suite 101. Our facility is purpose-built for IH analysis — every instrument, method, and quality protocol is designed specifically for occupational exposure assessment.
Unlike general environmental labs that offer a few IH methods as an afterthought, industrial hygiene testing is our core competency and sole focus. Our laboratory team performs every analysis in-house using validated NIOSH, OSHA, and EPA methods under ISO/IEC 17025 quality management. No subcontracting. No outsourcing. This means faster turnaround, tighter chain-of-custody control, and a single point of accountability from sample receipt to final report.
Because all analysis happens in one place, your location doesn't change your result. We accept ship-in samples from anywhere in the United States and run scheduled courier pickup across Houston and the Gulf Coast — the same methods, the same accreditations and the same rush options either way.

Standard 5+ business day turnaround at no surcharge, with 4-day, 3-day, 2-day and 1-day rush options. Turnaround is counted from log-in at the lab, so overnight delivery puts a distant client on the same schedule as a local one.

The gold standard for industrial hygiene laboratories, held under both the Industrial Hygiene (IHLAP) and Environmental Microbiology (EMLAP) programs — 117 methods across 12 analytical platforms, covering metals, silica, asbestos fiber counting, organics and microbiology. Continuously accredited since 2000.

National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program, administered by NIST, covering asbestos in bulk building materials by Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) under EPA 600/R-93/116 and 40 CFR Part 763 Subpart E. NVLAP is the credential federal and most state regulators specifically require for AHERA, NESHAP and HUD bulk PLM work, and is recognised nationwide.

PJLA (Accreditation No. 137751)
Perry Johnson Laboratory Accreditation, Inc. (PJLA) — an ILAC-MRA signatory — accredits AGT Labs to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 for Environmental Testing under Certificate No. L25-1037-R1, valid through February 21, 2027. Scope covers asbestos by PLM (EPA 600/R-93/116) and PCM (NIOSH 7400) — extending ISO/IEC 17025 coverage to air PCM alongside our NVLAP bulk-PLM accreditation.

Texas DSHS Asbestos License (#300529)
Texas law requires any asbestos sample from a project under state jurisdiction to be analyzed by a DSHS-licensed laboratory. AGT Labs is licensed for both PLM and PCM asbestos analysis under Texas Occupations Code Ch. 1954, valid through August 2027.

AIHA-LAP, NVLAP and PJLA are all signatories to the ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement, so our reports are accepted nationwide and in over 100 countries. The Texas DSHS and TDLR licences are state credentials required for Texas-regulated asbestos and mold projects specifically. A few states run their own laboratory approval programmes — New York's ELAP, for example — so if your project sits under a state programme, ask us before you ship and we will confirm what applies.
